The Sunday morning sessions are proving extremely popular. For the second week in a row we have had a waiting list.
Spaces are limited across the three sessions because of conditions imposed due to Covid-19. If you have accepted a Teamer Selected confirmation and then find you are unable to attend please change your response or advise us as soon as possible so we can offer the space to another child.
Just a quick recap on how it works for parents not too familiar with Teamer as we seek to move to some longer-term planning.
You will shortly receive Teamer Availability invites for the remaining Sundays in August between 10.00 and 12 noon. Please accept or decline as soon as you can. You can change your response online at any time by following the link on the email or App alert.
On Friday afternoon before each weekly session, we will send out Teamer Selected confirmations for each of three 50 mins sessions – starting at 10.00, 10.30 and 11.00 – based on the Availability at that point.
Please accept as soon as you can. If you have to decline, then please do so as soon as possible. We are used to children falling ill on the day – it is wise to be cautious in current circumstances – or having morning meltdowns! But unadvised ‘no shows’ are frustrating for all.
If you receive no Selected confirmation, then please do not just turn up. Although we will endeavour to place where possible, add to a ‘pending’ list, or advise.
The session allocated will depend on availability, age, capability and logistics so we ask parents to be as flexible as possible. We have strict Covid-19 guidelines to adhere to and this imposes conditions on numbers and activities. We will always try to place siblings in the same or consecutive sessions.
Please do not turn up too early (or late!) to your allocated session start/end time – 5/10 mins is ideal – to minimise the number of people. We are maintaining a rigid social distancing and sanitising regime – minimising the number of people in contact with any piece of equipment – and that applies to parents too!
The kids don’t need any equipment – just wear suitable sports kit and trainers – although those with their own bat, especially from past All Stars sessions, should bring them (ensuring they are personalised for identification).
Necessary protocols aside, the emphasis is on softball cricket skills and drills and early stage development. And FUN!
While all the activators are volunteers, they are qualified coaches with appropriate safeguarding and first aid training as well as full DBS checks.
