All Stars, Junior Cricket and Swallows & Amazons - IMPORTANT UPDATE

10 Jul 2019 by John Swannick

An important update for all parents on ‘end of term’ arrangements for our junior programmes.

Tonight’s Swallows & Amazons session will be the last of this summer term. We will be back in the winter so look out for further details in due course.

With the the huge success of this Sunday’s Mid-Kent 5 Mile run – around 500 entrants are forecast – we are unable to run junior cricket training this Sunday, July 14.

But we have our Wimbledon Family Fun Day from 9.30 to 12 noon, so come along and beat the tennis machine or have your serve speed measured. Don’t forget your Club membership includes tennis!

As advised last week, All Stars Cricket will reconvene for the final session on Sunday July 21 at 9.30am. We hope all can make this session of games and fun. We will also be presenting certificates to the ‘graduates’.

U11, U13 and U16s will also skip this week but meet again on Sunday July 21 at usual times. Please do your best to attend as there are still cricket matches to be played including a cup semi-final for the U11s.

We are looking to repeat the Spitfires vs Hurricanes series of inter-club matches for the U11 and U13 squads on Friday nights through August. Teamer availability invites will be issued shortly to gauge feasibility.

And there are MultiSports Camps running through the Summer holidays in association with HotShotz:
- July 22-26
- August 5-9
- August 19-23
More details available at Wimbledon Family Fun Day on Sunday or Artisan Farmers Market at Staplehurst Cricket & Tennis Club on Saturday mornings. Booking here https://hotshotztennis.co.uk/calendar/

And finally a quick message for those U13s playing Sissinghurst tomorrow. Due to circumstances almost beyond our control, there has been a late a switch of venue to Sissinghurst. A revised Teamer invite has been issued.
