Winter Junior Cricket

12 Jan 2019 by John Swannick

The winter cricket training programme for all Under-11 and Under-13 squad players starts on Thursday February 7 from 6.00-7.00pm at the Weald Sports Centre. It will run weekly until March 28.

All existing and new 10-13 year-olds (and 9 year-olds with appropriate experience) are welcome to join this preparatory programme looking foward to the outdoor season.

The sessions are FREE to existing junior members and new members can join at the usual junior subscription rate of £3 per month payable by direct debit. So feel free to forward this message to anyone who may be interested.

Places are limited to 24 each week, so book now by emailing john.swannick@staplehurstcricket.com or leave a message in comments here. We will also be sending our Teamer invites to existing members.

Junior cricketers aged 14* and over are encouraged to join the open-age winter training programme which begins weekly on Thursday nights 8.30-9.30pm at Maplesden Noakes School from February 21. More details will be published in due course.

To parents of Under-16 squad members: now both 1st and 2nd Saturday XIs are playing in the Kent Cricket League for the first time, we are required to register all players of appropriate ages with the League before April. You may receive a message over the coming days via the Club’s Play Cricket site that your child has been registered. This does not imply any commitment at this stage.

*or subject to the Club’s open age policy which can be found here http://bit.ly/2sqv40B
