Club tender for renewable energy grant

23 Jan 2018 by John Swannick

The Club is undergoing an exciting phase of development and more detail will be available for members shortly.

In the meantime, we have an opportunity to enhance the environmental as well as economic sustainability of the Club. We are exploring the possibility of incorporating solar PV and ground source heating systems into our plans.

To this end, we are in the process of applying for funding from the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF) that will enable us to assess the feasibility of developing a renewable energy system and help us build a compelling business case.

In the event of a successful bid we will be seeking a suitably qualified consultant who will be able to deliver a feasibility study. The selected consultant will be included in our final application to WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme), the government funded agency which agrees RCEF grants. The work will only be awarded if the funding bid is successful.

The deadline for tender submissions is 2nd February 2018. The Invitation To Tender can be found on the Club’s website here http://www.staplehurstcricket.com/development.html

Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know who may be interested in submitting.
