Can we break through 20,000 barrier?

Apologies for this unashamed ‘click-bait’ message but the number of page hits on the Club App for May – the first full month of the summer season – stands at 19,180 this morning. It would be great to reach 20,000 by close of play tomorrow.

There are now 236 registered App users with nearly 90 viewing pages each week. By far the most popular function is Live Scores with, typically, over 2,000 page hits on Saturday afternoons, Sundays not far behind, and junior matches also attracting hundreds of views. It’s fantastic that people are following the teams on the field even when well away from the Club.

We have also seen a steady increase in unregistered viewers accessing the App online. They account for around 2,000 page hits this month alone. It suggests we have a growing following in our local community amongst non-members. We seem to have found a more effective communication channel to the wider community and engaging more people in our activities. That’s great news for a community club and we hope it will translate into new playing and social members over time.
