App page hits crash through 4,000 mark

30 Apr 2017 by John Swannick

With one day to go, the number of page hits for April stands at 4,300. This comfortably beats the previous record of 1,580 in January when most members were registering on the App for the first time.

Over half of the page hits in April can be attributed to the Live Scores page with an average 800 views over each of the first three Saturdays of the season. It shows the 214 registered members of the App are keen to follow progress on the field, wherever they are.

If you haven’t yet downloaded the App to your phone or tablet, we hope you will do so shortly. We will be moving to more targeted messaging to groups within the Club such as adult cricketers, tennis players, social members and parents, etc. and less by email.

Don’t forget you can amend you settings to control the alerts you receive. The default settings will bring you news and events automatically but you have to elect to receive individual page notifications such as Live Scores.

As the summer progresses, we expect the number of App members and average page hits to climb month-by-month. This is also great news for the Club’s sponsors as we will shortly be taking control of the banner ad management on the site and replacing the current commercial advertising with our Sponsors’ banner ads.
