JUNIOR TRAINING
The junior cricket season begins in earnest straight after Easter. With significant changes to the age and session structure, it is critical that parent(s) attend one of the registration sessions.

They will be held at the Club are on:
> Wednesday 19 April 6.30-7.00pm
> Wednesday 19 April 7.00-7.30pm
> Saturday 22 April 10.30-11.00am
> Saturday 22 April 11.00-11.30am

Sunday morning training starts on April 23 and more information will be sent to parents in due course.

GIRLSFORCRICKET
For the first time we will be running a dedicated girls programme in partnership with ex-England international Lydia Greenway and her GirlsForCricket team.

We have always had a number of girls in our junior cricket programme but recognise we need to be better at recruiting and retaining from what is 50% of the local junior market. All the evidence shows that a dedicated programme is key to that.

The GirlsForCricket programme will run alongside our existing Sunday morning junior programme from April 23. It is open to girls of all ages and all abilities.

The partnership will be launched at Staplehurst School on March 20 where Lydia is to present at assembly and then lead a girls coaching masterclass.

5-8 YEAR OLDS AND ALL STARS CRICKET
The Club has registered to be a local centre for an exciting new England & Wales Cricket Board centrally administered programme aimed at 5-8 year olds who have no previous cricket experience.

There will be a massive promotional campaign for All Stars Cricket – the largest participation initiative in ECB history – starting in March.

More information will be shortly sent to parents of juniors in that age group but those who are already Club members and looking forward to more competitive cricket at ages 8 and 9 should join the Club programme and NOT All Stars Cricket.
